Wednesday morning the weather finally started to break. The clouds were still dark and there was rain in the distance but it was time to hoist sail! We had such an exhilarating sail. We ended up sailing out of Man-O-War cut to the ocean and sailed on the back side of the reefs all the way to the north end of Guana Cay maintaining 9 to 10 knots! What a blast!

After lunch we had a fantastic snorkel on the ocean side reef off of Baker’s Bay. I apologies that I forgot to bring my camera but let just say we saw a lot of cool stuff including a couple big sharks!
Then the crew got to enjoy the most beautiful beach in the Abacos. They had it all to themselves and they tried to dig a hole in the sand to China!
And we got conch!
Thursday started off with a snorkel off the Fish Cays. We saw a Robin fish – I call it a dragon fish because that it what it looks like. And it kind of crawls on the bottom with these fins and digs in the sand. In 31 years of living on a sailboat and snorkeling a lot, this is only the 2nd one I have ever seen. Pretty incredible!
We had another fun sail back to Marsh Harbour tacking ourselves all the way through the harbor to our dock. It is not every crew we would do this with but these guys knew what they were doing and made sure they did it right!
