We had an unexpected rain system set in on top of us. So this is what we had until about 1:30 PM along with some lightening and thunder. The crew played cards, chess, read books, and took naps! And leave it to Harold who was in charge of the galley for lunch!
Finally we were lightening free for over 30 minutes and the rain stopped so got to explore, go shelling, and play Ultimate Frisbee on Pelican Cay which we had all to ourselves. And it seems that most of the crew choose to disembark the ship by jumping off the bow sprit. We all had a blast!
Even though the clouds were still there the sun was trying to peak through so we decided to do the dive that we were planning to do this morning when the rain set in. When your “crew” gets home, just ask them how magnificent it was. Take a look at these huge eagle rays (6 to 8 ft.) that kept swimming around us. Then we had a turtle that could care less that we were around. He let us get right up to him. And on top of all the schools of fish we swam through, and colorful reef fish that were in abundance we got to see a small reef shark. Don’t forget to ask them about this dive!
After the dive we motored to a different anchorage to put us in a position to do what we want to do tomorrow. On the way over there these guys fell asleep like this!
Just want to let you all know that I wish I could post videos. But our Internet is so slow that a couple weeks ago it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to download a 37 second video! Sorry – guess it is the price we pay to live on a boat in paradise ~
Looks like a great day, even with the storm! Love these updates! The family looks forward to seeing the posts daily! So glad we get a glimpse of paradise!!
Amazing pics! Looks like a blast. Bets on whether or not Henry takes off his orange shirt the whole week???!!! I bet he won’t! Thanks for posting! I’m loving it!
Many thanks!
Looks like fun wish I was there
